What is Attunement?
Attunement is a spiritual practice and sacred healing art that increases one’s experience of indwelling Source. Attunement acknowledges that each of us is a combination of “Human”, physical substance drawn from the earth, and “Being”, an invisible, animating life force. Attunement is a process of clarifying and deepening our connection with Being allowing a more vivid experience of wholeness, peace and abundant personal power.
The core technique of Attunement is sharing a radiant energy current through the hands of the practitioner over areas of the body, especially the endocrine system.
The receiver sits in a state of quiet relaxation while the trained Attunement practitioner holds her/his hands a few inches from the receiver’s body near each of the glands. It is a very connecting, healing, and nurturing exchange for all.

What is Attunement? And How will we be Transformed? |
|
What to expect... |
|
The Emissaries, Wendy & Bill, and Joyce and others have been holding this Attunement & Transformation gathering at the Goddess Studio for almost three years now. Our group is open to men and women and anyone who wants to come at any time. There is no “membership”. We are a small and mellow group!
For the first hour we share greetings and the non-touch energy healing practice called “Attunement”. Then we have a short break to snack on the delicious treats the Emissaries bring! And the last hour and a half we each share our “story”, insights, and feelings that we have gleamed from thinking about the “word” of the month. Each month we are given a different word to contemplate as a form of spiritual practice. And at the end of our sharing we exchange comments of appreciation for each other.
These gatherings are often jovial, poignant, relaxing, nurturing and always a sacred experience of authentic community. Join US!

Presented by Wendy & Bill Crosman, and Joyce Ellenbecker, MS, of the Emissaries of Divine Light, Glen Ivy California. The Emissaries of Divine Light are a community of gracious people who come from all walks of life, gathered by spirit with a shared purpose – a commitment to fully awaken to the presence of the divine within and to build mastery so that spirit might be expressed fully and fearlessly into the world.
The Glen Ivy community thrives as a working example of the practical application of spiritual principles in everyday living. People work, live, worship, and learn together in an atmosphere of respect and open communication.
The spiritual values they practice are to assist in carrying forward a work of spiritual regeneration of humanity by stewarding a balanced relationship with each other and with the land and by furthering activities that promote the healing of our minds, body and spirit.
The Emissaries of Divine Light are an international non-profit organization with centers around the world in places like Australia, South Korea, South Africa and throughout North America. Their headquarters are in Colorado and their Southwest Regional hub is the beautiful homestead an hour north of Escondido at the Glen Ivy Hot Springs.

How shall we be Transformed?
We use a variety of practices to identify, encourage and enhance our ability to transform spiritually. This is done is an atmosphere of mutual support and inspiration.
Spiritual transformation, like Attunement, affects all levels of existence. As we identify and share our personal transformational edge, we act as both witness to, and inspiration for others. This is done through journaling, check-ins, story telling, giving and receiving appreciation, and other practices.
Through this process we achieve a better understanding of where we are spiritually, where we are going, and how we might reach our goals.
Each month we will choose one word, such as "acceptance, forgiveness, compassion", and work with that concept individually during the month. At the next meeting, we will share the transformative experiences coming from this practice. |

ALCHEMY
As we reach the time of the Summer Solstice and the weather starts heating up it is quite a tricky balancing act to keep in touch with the “cool blue of the flame” while circumstances and emotions test our equilibrium! I remember during a chemistry class at school first learning about the hot part of a flame on the edges that burn red and yellow and the “cool blue” center of the flame. There is a certain irony in thinking about a flame being cool. But it is a lovely metaphor for staying centered when lots of different situations are erupting around you. As Emissary leader Martin Cecil said: ‘Let there be stillness in the midst of turmoil.’
This is a magic time of year: school is out for the summer, weddings are in the air, vacations are getting close, apricots and cherries are ripening in the orchards, days are long and the evenings beautiful. In the midst of all these changing events how can we keep in touch with the gold in these activities and not get caught up in the drama?
Michael Brown, author of the “Presence Process” has just published a new book called “Alchemy of the Heart”. In it he has this to say:
“How do we become alchemists of the heart? To be an alchemist of the heart is to impact the quality of our external experiences by making internal adjustments. The key to the heart’s alchemical magic is to accept responsibility for the quality of our experiences. When we accept responsibility, we begin to turn the base metal of our unintegrated emotions into the gold of harmonious living. We realize the peace we seek in the world.” |
